Per supermarket

Albert Heijn has the most, with 8,204.

On a Dutch label

The nutrition table is headed ‘Voedingswaarde’, per 100 g: ‘suikers’ (sugars), ‘zout’ (salt), ‘vet’ (fat), ‘eiwitten’ (protein), ‘vezels’ (fibre). A claim on the front reads ‘suikerarm’, ‘zoutarm’, ‘vetarm’, ‘eiwitrijk’ or ‘vezelrijk’.

How we measure

‘Low sugar’ here is not a claim on the front of the pack but a number from the nutrition table: at most 5 g sugar per 100 g, or 2.5 g per 100 ml for drinks. That is the threshold the EU sets for the claim. 20,879 products with an ingredient list meet it.

Nutrition values come from the manufacturers and supermarkets and may be out of date. Read the pack.
